On the Sixth Day...

This...

Is...

Hard...

After much thought and deliberation, I've come to the conclusion that I'd have to switch lives with someone totally and completely awesome. That gives me a few options, but I'm going to go with one of the first ones that came to my head. Not the very first... Anyway, I think it's pretty obvious that I would switch lives with one of these guys:

Pizza. Ninja skills. A rat mentor. Need I say more?

Second choice would probably be Superman.

Day 6 has arrived

A picture of a person you'd love to trade places with for a day.

Well this one was a little tough but I finally settled on one person seeing as it just has to be 'a person' not 'the person.' So, without further ado, I give you...

Kristina Horner (the one on the right).

Why would I trade places with Kristina? Let me tell you.
1. She is awesome and adorable.
2. She has a lot of cool friends (especially YouTube friends)
3. She has an extremely cute, hilarious, and nerdy boyfriend.
4. She sings nerd songs...in a band...and gets paid to do it.
5. She is a YouTube partner (again...she gets paid to be a nerd and have fun on camera...soooo jealous).
6. AND finally, she lives just an hour away from where my dearest bestest friend Danielle currently resides (which is a lot closer than the 1,000 miles that keep us apart right now).

Yep...I think switching with Kristina for a day would be fun. :)

Day 5 is a Day for Memories

Check out this moment at the Happiest Place on Earth!

This me in the pink, looking terrified. Fun fact: I made that shirt in first grade. I stamped pictures on it I created. I believe they were of Timon and Pumbaa...but looked nothing like that. Anyway, this is the first time I dared to ride Splash Mountain. I was so afraid for that drop at the end. My father was such a nice guy and sat in the very front so I wouldn't have to. Plus he was tall enough and I was short enough that he would protect me from most of the scary elements of that final drop. As you may have noticed, my father at the last second ducked. I was rushed with the incredible height, the sudden drop, and the great splash of water because of him! Scarred for life! And you know what else? You know why he ducked at the last second? Because he suddenly realized that he had a camcorder that he needed to protect from that onslaught of water! So instead of protecting his poor daughter, he leaned over to sheild that camcorder from the water. Thanks, Dad.

Check out how pro we are now though.

I don't know who those two guys are in front...but they need a lot more practice with their straight faces.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay 5

A picture of your favorite memory. Unfortunately a lot of those pictures are not accessible on my computer so we are just going to have to pick something from what I do have available.
This here is Pirate Steve, the teddy bear that has randomly been an addition to our family cabin since I can remember. He is a great memory in my book. Just this last time we went up I couldn't find him and we were all depressed thinking that someone had thrown him away. Luckily, he showed up just before we left. That is when I took this picture. If any of my extended family is reading this, please never ever ever throw away Pirate Steve, the cabin is not complete without him.

3 + 4 = Today's Post

If you couldn't tell, I'm totally following Breanna's lead on this thing, so since she didn't post yesterday, neither did I. I already told you some of my favorite TV shows, but alas, now I'm torn--especially since more of my favorites just popped into my head like "The Mentalist" and "Leverage." And let's not forget old TV shows that have gone but still live in out memory! Oh dear... Perhaps I should just stick with "Psych." It would seem appropriate since just yesterday I made a reference to it.

Oh my gosh, these pictures are awesome! Okay, "Psych" it is!

I'm sure I have a picture of sunset somewhere, but I'm not entirely sure where to find it. So I'll give you a picture from the one night a year I am guaranteed to take pictures at night--July fourth.

And I'm cheating because Breanna cheated :) OH! And look! There's a picture of the sunset!

GHA!!!! ... ummm... day 3 AND 4

So...I forgot to post yesterday...woops. Well, here are the next two photo challenge things.

A Picture of the cast from your favorite show. Okay...we have run into a problem here...I have way too many favorite shows. I love Psych but something tells me Danielle will want to do that one so I guess I'll have to choose between the many other shows I love. I also love White Collar to death but the season finale was a while ago so I haven't been watching it recently. So... I guess will just have to settle on this one (but know that there are many many many many many many other shows I love and watch frequently).

...well never mind. I can't find a good cast picture for Justified...looks like we are actually going to go with White Collar then.

Alrighty, that one is complete. Now I suppose it's time to do TODAY's photo challenge which is, a picture of your night. As night time night time is a little too dark to take pictures of, I will share with you what our Colorado sunsets are like. They are beautiful.

Yeah, yeah I know it says A PICTURE, but I had several pictures so I gave you three (to make up for not posting yesterday). Anywhoozle, Danielle's turn!

Day 2.0

Hmm... I picture of me and someone I've been close to for a long time, huh? Well, there are a few people who pop into my head right away. (Don't worry, Breanna. You are one of those, of course!) Seeing as Breanna already put a picture of the two of us, I feel compelled to choose someone else. I still love all you other people who popped into my head. But the rules are to pick one! That doesn't mean this is the only :)

Is it weird for me to pick my mom at the ripe old age of post toddler? Maybe. Do I care? Absolutely not! My mother has and always will be one of my dearest friends. She let's me be weird and nerdy, and she listens to me at those moments even though I'm convinced that half the time she doesn't know what I'm talking about :) She's supportive, gives great advice, and is filled with love and compassion towards others. Thanks, Mom, for wanting to be a part of my adventures. Thanks for loving my enthusiasm for things like dino chicken nuggets! Thank you for all you've done. I love you, and I'm ever so grateful to have you as a part of my life.

Day 2

Alright, day 2, is a picture of you (me) and someone you (I) and the person you (I) have been close with for a while. I decided that the definition for "a while" is any amount of time that allows you to get to know someone well. As for the definition of "close," I decided to take it figuratively seeing as Danielle, my best friend, happens to live over 1,000 miles away in Washington.

Ditto...Only Danielle Style!

30 day photo challenge, huh? I'm so totally game! What a great way to start too. Have I ever mentioned that I love random facts? Did you know that the elephant is the only land mammal that can't jump? Brilliant. Oh right. A picture of myself. Let's see here.

Despite what it looks like, that globe is bigger than me...not the same size as my head. Now for some random facts!

1. Don't hurt me, but I'm not a big fan of Grease. I like some of the songs, but as far as the story goes, I'm not really a fan.

2. I'm an aspiring author. Woot!

3. Sometimes I hate it when people ask me what kind of music I listen to because I never know what to say. I listen to handfuls of pretty much everything although there are a couple genres I avoid like rap. The other day I totally pulled out the first N*SYNC album and listened to it just for the heck of it. Yes I sang along...

4. I love barbecue chicken pizza.

5. My favorite ice cream is white chocolate raspberry truffle from haagan dazs.

6. The T.V. shows I watch most often are The Office, Parks and Recreation, Community, Perfect Couples, and Psych. Those aren't the only ones I watch and enjoy though.

7. I played the clarinet for three years. Then I dropped band so I could do drama instead.

8. I like to play piano. That doesn't mean I'm good...but I'm not the worst either.

9. For some unknown reason, I get really excited when Sean Bean appears on a T.V. screen. Just ask Breanna what happened when we went to see The Lightning Thief and I didn't know Sean Bean played one of the characters...

10. I'm one of those people who cries during movies. Sometimes I try to hide it. Okay, most of the time.

11. I play video games. One of my favorite series is Kingdom Hearts.

12. I still love Disneyland even after all these years. LOVE!

13. I can make homemade books. It's pretty awesome.

14. I was trying to think of my least favorite book ever and three popped into my head: The Golden Ass, Madame Bovary, and Blood and Chocolate. No offense to anyone who loves those...

15. I like making videos. Even if no one watches them except me and the people I force it upon, they're fun to make and put together :)

There you have it. Fifteen random facts about me. I can feel us all bonding already! Huzzah!

Dinosaurs: The Perfect Wedding Guests

Sometimes I say or do random little things for the heck of it. I like to take joy from simple things in life--such as eating dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets. Pretty much everything dinosaur related equals awesome...with the exception of the dinosaur bit in the 1940's Fantasia. I seriously used to hide behind furniture during that sequence.

Every once in a while, I try to think about what I want my wedding to be like--reception, dress, ring, etc. I usually don't get very far, but it was something fun to do with roommates when I was at school. I've always told my mom that I want a chocolate fondue fountain at my reception. The other day, I randomly turn to my mother and say, "I've decided I want dinosaur chicken nuggets at my wedding reception...right next to the chocolate fondue!"

She asked if that would be next to the tater tots. Not a bad idea, Madre. Not bad at all :)

You'll find that I often make random decisions like that. For instance, one day I blurted out that my first born son would be named Vincent. I probably won't go through with that one. Most of the time, they're just for fun. But who knows. You may actually find dinosaur chicken nuggets at my wedding reception.

Speaking of zombies...again

So you guys want to hear something really creepy? There is some kind of fungus that grows on the heads of ants in the Brazilian rain forest and controls their brains. I am not even kidding, how super creepy is that? The fungus takes over the ants mind and uses it to go around the forest looking for the perfect place to live then it kills the ant and grows in the place it chose. If you  don't believe me, google "Zombie ants." Also...here is a super duper icky, creepy, zombified video.

What would happen if that fungus could get a hold of us? That idea scares me. Stupid zombies, always finding a way to become an actual possibility. Guess it's time to break out the zombie survival kit. I will be providing you with a list of necessary items at a later date. Until then peace out and avoid the Brazilian rain forest.

Speaking of Zombies

I've played a few different zombie related video games in my life. Most of them freak me out, but I play them anyway to have bonding time with my brother. I'm just grateful he puts up with the fact that I pretty much suck... But the one zombie game I've been able to tackle all on my own without someone there to kill the zombie that has jumped on my back and is sucking out my life force is the one and only...Wait for it.... PLANTS VS ZOMBIES!

It's a delightful little game where you quite literally fight of zombies with plants! Each plant does something a little different--some explode, some freeze zombies, some just shoot. The zombies all have different traits too. You can't let a single zombie get past your plants and lawnmower and into your house or else...

It's quite addicting. So go check it out! There's a free trial online! Do it. Oh, but you should be warned. Don't trust those tricky zombies. They're quite clever.
