Hey guys it's me...WHAT?! WHO AM I?

Dear Vortex of Randomness Zombies,

Don't pretend you don't remember me, I'm only the creator of this awesome possum blog. I am one of the two amazing writers and heroes on this site! You cannot forget of my existence...despite my lack of posts lately. I know, I know...I'm trying.

As for the comic, I really will get to working on more pages eventually but other things take precedence (like this post). As Danielle said, I have been super busy with my Etsy shop and there are other things demanding my time and attention like the need to do a video for both my channel and the SheLikesCloth channel as well as my Saturday videos for the collab channel I joined (youtube.com/user/collabacrossborders). I don't mean to make excuses (well, yes I do). But I really have been (and still am) very busy. I'll work on the next page as soon as I can, but until then our short little tiny microscopic posts will have to tide you over.

Love,

...oh dang...even I forgot who I am.

Best Ornaments Ever and a Video You Should Look Up

Hello one and all! I hope you all had a good Thanksgiving and Black Friday. Welcome to December! Breanna has been busy lately making lovely little nerd ornaments. Trust me. They're worth looking at. Click here. December is a busy month full of preparations, celebrations, and welcoming a new year. Can you believe that 2011 is almost over? I submit that I cannot. Well, I was going to post more. Specifically I was going to add a video so there was actually more to this post than words. Alas... My browser doesn't want to bring up the video. You'll have to look for yourself. Go to youtube and type in Sam Tsui pop medley 2011. That's what I was thinking of. Go enjoy. Do it! Wait! Just click here!

Thanksgiving!

Guess what! It's Thanksgiving tomorrow! Huzzah! May you have wonderful times with family, friends, and food. Take some time to remember the things you're thankful for. A lot of times in life it's alot easier to see those things we're not so thankful for. Don't let them bring you down! You can always find some good. On Friday, you may officially start istening to Christmas songs :)

Oooo...gives me goosebumps

I love that they keep including Rue's whistle at the end of the trailers, it gives me shivers. :D

Heya

So I haven't posted in a little bit. Well partially that is because I've been putting together some pretty sweet ornaments for my shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/NerdFreakinTastic?ref=si_shop but it's also because I have been busy with a brand new collab channel I am a part of on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/user/CollabAcrossBorders There are 6 girls (including me) that are apart of this channel. Two of us are from the United States, one is from Australia, one is from Kent, one is from Denmark, and one is from Sweden. How cool is that?! Anyway you should check it out cause it's awesome. Love you bye! :)

My Friend the Library

I have been sitting in the library for approximately 3 1/2 hours. Today marked day three that my internet didn't want to work. Perhaps it's taken a holiday and forgot to mention it to anyone. Whatever the cause may be for his sudden disappearance, at day three I had to take matters into my own hands. I'm about ready to wrap things up though. I'm so ready for a change of scenery (i.e. the apartment I'm in practically all the time). What will I do when I get home? Probably today's worth of writing for NaNoWriMo. I'm determined to finish on time this year! Cross your fingers. It's when you get down to the very end that it gets harder to stay on top of things. Well, better start walking home. Thank you library for providing this service to me. I have a feeling we're going to be seeing a lot more of each other.

Halloween Blasphemy

Hello all and a very happy Halloween to all of you. I have my music on shuffle as I surf the internet and apply for jobs and all that good stuff. It just happened to pull up a beauty by Mannheim Steamroller (you gots ta love the Mannheim Steamroller!). The issue? It's from one of their Christmas albums. I couldn't bring myself to skip it as I do enjoy it so. Yep. I just listened to a Christmas song on Halloween. I shame myself :)

Oh Pie You Tease Me So

Pie is delicious. All sorts of pie. It's one of the best sorts of things in this mortal existence! Add a dollop of ice cream--that's even better! And a lot of them have got fruit or veggies. That makes them healthy right? Of course! You know what's not cool though? Waiting two hours for one slice... One measly slice. Delicious as it may be, those are trying times right there. Trying times indeed.

So here's the story. Last night was free pie night at the Village Inn here in town. I know their busy on such a glorious occasion as that, and I'm sure they're usually more on top of things. My sister and I had never been, so we joined some friends and headed out. We ordered a side of french fries and a slice of apple pie to share. Everyone around us got their orders, even our friend sitting at the table with us. People who came in after us ate and left before we saw one fry.

Fast forward two hours later, we finally got to eat some fries, we never got any water, and we got a slice of pumpkin pie to go. You see, we kept getting forgotten or something, so by the time they remembered they were meant to bring us pie, they were all out of apple...and triple berry, and Oreo, and strawberry is only seasonal. They gave us time to make a new decision and forgot about us again. We had to wave someone down before we finally got a slice of pie to go about two hours after we'd ordered it.

We took it home and ate it while watching an episode of Boy Meets World. Although, by that time, I didn't really want pie anymore. Blasphemy!

Nerdy Images

Occasionally whilst exploring the internet, I come across images that make my heart smile. Thus, there's some really random pictures in my picture folder. Perhaps some of you nerds will appreciate some of these.

The Great Sorting

While I was working on our comic/graphic novel, I decided to draw Danielle getting sorted into Ravenclaw. I'll be posting me getting sorted into Gryffindor once I get the time to do that drawing. Then I will have to post them somewhere on this blog (maybe on each of our pages). :) Enjoy!

Hello There Toilet

There's been a little be of relocating on my end of things. I've decided to stay with my sister for a bit whilst I take a stab at independence. I've been with her about a week now. I've walked to the library the past couple of days as that is the best place for internet access at the moment. Today has been more or less rather bleak, however, and I didn't want to go walking in it. The best place to get internet access in her apartment is in the bathroom. Strange and perhaps a little odd. So here I am with the toilet, bath, and sink to keep me company as I go about my internet business--checking e-mails, playing words with friends, applying for jobs, the works. All I have to do is hope and pray my internet won't give out suddenly. If it does, I'll just have to find something else to do with my time, which hasn't proved too hard the last few days.

As a Stupid Question Day, Sep. 28, 2011

A conversation between Danielle and I...

Me: It's ask a stupid question day by the way.

Danielle: That's good to know.

Me: Is it?

Danielle: Yes. That counts as your stupid question. :)

Me: Indeed.

I found my new dream car

It's made of legos...how can anyone beat that?! Now if it was a sports car made of legos (preferably a dark blue nissan 350z) and it could actually drive...I'd totally get it. You can read more about the lego car here: Article

Well, we both thought we'd be Hufflepuff but J.K. Rowling and the sorting hat had other ideas.

Blimey!

Breanna and I have officially had our first looks into Pottermore. She's made it a lot farther than I have. I haven't even got my wand yet! There's a lot of activity on there already. One thing that's great about this stage of the project is that there are tons of fans already viewing this beta version and they have the opportunity to try it out and give suggestions. I'm liking that the fans truly get to be a part of the experience as well. I truly hope that the creators of the site take their comments into consideration. Or they should at least read some of the comments and feel of all the Harry Potter love! It may be contagious.

We hope to see all of you there too! Tell us what you think of this new Harry Potter experience. Breanna's been sorted into Gryffindor. Let's see what house the sorting hat will place me in. Not Slytherin. Anything but Slytherin.

Better be....

Tatooine Discovered!

This day was bound to come eventually. A planet that just so happens to sit within orbit of two suns exists! Next we'll find a planet completely covered in ice and snow...I'll bet that's Pluto but apparently scientists don't care enough to consider Pluto a planet. Their loss I say. Well I don't know about anyone else but I'm booking a trip to Pluto. I must ride a Ton-Ton at some point in my life. Danielle and I may have to take a trip to this planet too eventually, but not for a while. I'm not to fond of those Sand Raiders.

The article about the planet can be found here: http://movies.ign.com/articles/119/1194725p1.html

Here's a random question: If you could visit any planet from the star wars movies (new and old movies count), which planet would it be?

Spilled milk...or should I say sprayed milk

So we were at the dinner table, as usual, and my sisters were recounting a story about a funny idea they had a while ago. As they came to the funniest part I found that, unfortunately, I had a mouthful of milk I could not swallow. I couldn't get it to go down (or I'd choke) and coming back out...ewww. Finally I made the decision to try and let it back into my cup but as I opened my mouth, a laugh exploded out of me. I mean the laugh really literally exploded. The milk sprayed pretty much everywhere except for in my cup and my poor poor sister found herself learning what it will be like to have a baby. Luckily I missed her face...mostly.

Maroon 5 Likes Birthday Cake

Breanna had a brilliant idea the other day. A very important someone in my life is celebrating a birthday! What better way to say "Guess what. I love you, and also, it's your birthday," than to say through something that you love? In this case, music and video! It was just my Mom and I at home yesterday, so when she asked what I was doing, I told her I was filming footage for another music video Breanna was putting together. Little did she know the music video was made especially for her :) Check it, yo!

Friday, September 2, 2011
I think Breanna will agree with me when I say, "EEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!"

On the verge of an emotional breakdown

You know that point in life where you realize your education is getting nowhere and you have no clue what to do and where to go next? Yeah...that's where I am right now. I would really really love to go to film school but with how much it costs to get that kind of education (especially if I go to California for it) things aren't looking to bright and shiny happy.

The thing is, I feel like I have a lot of skills that would be in demand for a lot of different creative careers but without the right degrees and the right connections, it doesn't matter much. I am still holding out the hope that I will either publish soon or become a YouTube partner...or both.

Alrighty, enough Debbie downer stuff, I need some cheering up so lets watch something funny together. :)

The Frustrations of Legend of Zelda

I don't think I've revealed it here yet, but I be a Legend of Zelda fan. I first got into playing the games with the release of Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64. I'm sure there's a fan out there cheering right now... Or they are too busy playing the 3DS version which has recently made an appearance. But I digress.

I found this video today that I found quite relatable considering all the times I've played through Ocarina of Time. Has anyone else found themselves going, "I know, Navi! I know! Will you just shut up and Z target on the thing I actually want you to target?! Stupid fairy..."

Well, apparently someone has. Hence the following video.

You know what else is random but still Legend of Zelda related? Zelda cakes! Check it!

Shenanigans

I hope you've all been enjoy our little zombie adventure. I know we have. Some one actually complimented me on my zombie skills the other day! I can now die with a sense of fulfillment... And then come back to eat your brains. Obviously, I have a knack for it.

Breanna and I have now been apart for some time now, which may be part of the reason you've seen a slight decline in our activity. Fear not young followers! We still are working on stuff. I was actually just playing through one today :) We recorded a few vocals for some things before I left, so hopefully Breanna's had time to work on those while I am involved in job searching (BUM BUM BUM!). If not, I suppose we can forgive her.

Recent shenanigans since I've been back in Washington include eating, hiking, socializing, way too much TV, and New Zealand Story (150 points if you know what New Zealand Story is). Oh and reading. How could I forget? I have officially begun the Hunger Games series. I'm in the second one now. So far so good. Way to get myself all prepped for the movie next year! That's not why I finally started reading it though. The first book has been on my shelf forever! I think what finally got me to read it was that fact that I kept hearing about it in Colorado and Breanna showed me this youtube video that I was kind of impressed with. I don't know if I can find it...

Wow. That was a lot easier to find than I was expecting. Here's the video but BE WARNED! If you haven't read the first book, this is a scene directly from that which may be spoiled for you. I think it's really well done.

If you watched it anyway, despite the fact that you haven't read it, go read it now. You have to, or you'll die in seven days or something like that. Why take a chance?

Brains!

Today was a glorious day of filming awesomeness.

After starting the day with a good hearty breakfast, we began preparing ourselves for the zombie apocolypse. This included a bunch of makeup, fake blood, and torn shirts. Oh! And it required some work on my hair... I dedicate that look to Bellatrix Lestrange.

This was all for our new music video premiering shortly for "Eating Your Brain." If you haven't heard the song yet, you should really fix that. Listen to it by clicking on the playlist on the right side of this page or visit our music page! Watch the video below for a little behind the scenes/sneak peek.

Now we've just to wait on Breanna to finish editing the video. Go on facebook and send her obnoxious messages continuously until she finishes. Just don't tell her I told you to do that.

I'm really excited to see how it turns out. It was a lot of fun to make, and I hope you guys enjoy it. More creative adventures to follow! Peace out!

SUCESS!!!

I done caught myself a magical quill and got me an early registration for Pottermore! Just thought I'd shout it out for the world to know. :)

Better Be.....HUFFLEPUFF!

Well what do you know...

Which Hogwarts house will you be sorted into?

Breanna and I are in the same house! Figures. Ravenclaw was the next up for me as well. Then Gryffindor and Slytherin. I should have know to answer that I'd punch that guy in the face. Ha ha.

The Sorting Hat has spoken

You know, way back when there were tons and tons of "sorting hat" quizzes floating around, I took every single one. Once, maybe twice, I got Gryffindor and the rare Ravenclaw, but for the most part I was always Slytherin. Well I just took the two best sorting hat quizzes there are and both of them placed me in a house none of the others did. Though I was close in points to being a Ravenclaw on both, I ended up in Hufflepuff. It actually makes a lot more sense with my personality than Slytherin. Guess I know my true house now so I suppose it would be good to get the right robes. :)

Here's my results/a link from one of the quizzes.

Nerds

A post is long overdue I think. On July 25, Breanna and I had the wonderfully magical experience of witnessing ConTour in Boulder. Breanna's working on putting a video together to give our experience justice, so I won't give too much away so you can see it all for yourself. Suffice it to say it was loads of fun! And we got to meet everyone afterwards! Sweet!

Who was there? Jason Munday (Skyway Flyer), Luke Conard, Mike Lombardo, and Alex Carpenter. You should check out some of their music on the YouTubes, yo. Breanna got them all to sign her flip.

She was also brave enough to get them to say something on camera that we'll be using for She Likes Cloth. For more info, click here.

Breanna is participating in VEDA (vlog everyday in august). Again, for more info, click that link above. That could mean that she'll be abandoning this here blog for a month... How dare you?! Never fear! Danielle is here!

Oh, speaking of VEDA, do yourself a favor and introduce yourself to Giraffe's vlogs. You heard me right. Check it.

I love them both, but the second one is my favorite :)

Breanna and I have been working on more song ideas, and we'll be shooting a new video this weekend! So more of She Likes Cloth will be coming your way!

The video is LIVE (finally)

After much trouble with editing programs and audio troubles with the YouTube glitches, our Harry Potter video is finally up. Enjoy!

P.S. If the video keeps saying that it's unavailable (YouTube is having a lot of problems today) then just follow the link below the vid to our channel page. So far you can watch it just fine from there.

The Beginning of the End

This is it folks. Tonight is the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. I am so excited! It's going to be amazing! I don't have any doubt. It's crazy that Harry Potter has been a part of my life for so long. It was weird when I finished the seventh book and realized that it really was the end. It's going to be weirder now I think. But all in all, I'd like to thank my friend Kathryn Anderson who introduced me to the series back in middle school. Only four books were out then. I jumped on the band wagon pretty quickly. It's still one of my favorite books/series of all time. I hope you all are doing fantastic things to get ready for the end! Bring tissues, friends, your various HP costumes and we'll have a grand ol' time. You should listen to our new song "End of Harry" in preparation. You can do so by picking it on the playlist on the right hand side of this here blog. Or you can just listen to all three of our nerdtastic songs which I also suggest :) I'll reiterate Breanna's pleading as well. We'd love to get footage from you. This is a big even for all of us! Please share your Harry Potter moments with us. And last but not least, perhaps you should have a final look at the trailer to get you even more giddy inside! Tonight is going to be crazy!

Love you, Harry Potter fans. It's a pleasure to be counted among you.

Songs

So we just finished recording two new songs. These two are a little different however because we had to use karaoke tracks for two different reasons (one because we need to get the video done within a week or so as it's about the Harry Potter midnight showing and one because I can't find any sheet music for the song to work off of yet). I hope to get some music tracks recorded in the future for at least one of the songs (hopefully both) so we can make them available to buy/download at some point in the future. For now though, they are still completely awesome as the karaoke tracks themselves (the ones I found and bought on itunes) are very good. I can't wait for you guys to see the videos...they are going to be awesome! :D

The Beginning of an Adventure of Epic Proportions

First of all, happy 100th post. Say what? That's right.

Second of all, I hope you all enjoyed your fourth and still have all your limbs... Don't forget why we celebrate Independence Day (it has nothing to do with aliens...) I'm so grateful for all the men and women who sacrifice so much for our country.

Thirdly, tomorrow is a grand day indeed. Why is that you may ask? I'll tell you. Two friends who happen to be the writers of this blog will be reunited after not seeing each other in person for many moons, months, days, seconds, etc. Tomorrow Breanna will pick me up from the airport and our adventures of epic proportions will begin! At least until I start classes in a few days time...but that's all part of the adventure. Oh adventure, I hear you calling.

I've just got to finish packing (what I wouldn't give for a Mary Poppins/Hermoine Granger bag to stow away all my belongings!), get some rest, and wake up with the sun (except definitely not that early), catch a flight, and then only time will tell what will happen next.

Stay tuned for next week's episode.

Part Twain

Who would have thought I'd have another perfect picture of one of my silly animals. I didn't try for this one. It just happened. It's kind of disturbing really, but I had to share it. Everytime I see it I can't stop laughing. I took my dog on a hike today, and on the way home she was all tuckered out in the back seat. I thought she looked cute, so I tried to get a picture. She liked her lips just as my camera took the picture. This was the result.

Picture Perfect

Don't you love those moments when you just happen to have your camera in your hand at the opportune moment? Yesterday, my dog was looking adorable, so I decided I was going to try and capture the moment. Everytime I tried to get it, she'd move or open her eyes or something to ruin the effect. I finally gave up on her when in walks the cat. Luckily, my camera was still in hand and I was able to capture this wonderful image:

Oh Luna. Thank you for making my day a little more awesome.

Hmmmm....

...I feel like I need to post something.

Well there you go! I posted. See you in a month! ;)

Juuuuuust kidding...but seriously I don't have anything to post at the moment though I felt I needed to post something so here it is and maybe I'll come up with something amazing in the very near future when I am not so tired and stressed out and focused on creating a really long run on sentence that is probably lacking in the proper punctuation.

Zombies Love Brains and Wizards Love Book Clubs

I'm not quite ready for this impending zombie apocalypse Breanna was speaking of. Once, in one of those random online quizzes, I was told that if I were in a horror movie I would be that person in the very beginning who gets killed just to get the ball rolling. I'm guessing that applies to said zombie apocalypse. I hope, Breanna, that your knowledge of zombies is accurate. In my experience, not all zombies are as slow as molasses in January. (Anyone catch that movie quote? Probably not. It's not even a movie about zombies...) But that could just be the video game industries way of making the zombie apocalypse more exciting. (I'm thinking of Left 4 Dead specifically in case anyone was wondering.)

If the zombie apocalypse is more like Plants vs Zombies, then I'd totally win. I have mad skills in that department.

Oh! Speaking of zombies, I discovered a new game yesterday. It's called Give Me the Brain: The Card Game of Zombie Fast Food. That's right.

Would you look at this? It has its own Wikipedia page! Check it out so I don't have to explain it to you. Ha!

Zombies was not the reason I started this post. This is getting out of hand! The real reason is so you can be introduced to my new group of actors. It's been awhile, but I've made a video! Woot! Starring all your favorite people ever. Okay, maybe that's a little extreme. But take a look if it suits your fancy, and be ye warned. Here there be spoilers for all those who have not as yet read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. You've been warned!

Enjoy your preparations for the impending doom by zombie hysteria, and perhaps form your own wizards' book club. I know I'd show up...if I were invited that is.

The Zombies are coming!

So everyone seems to be freaking out about this whole "rapture" thing and they are convinced the world will end tomorrow etcetera. :\ Hmmmm, well considering the fact that only God knows when this day will come (and absolutely no one else) I am fairly certain that the world is not going to end tomorrow (just as it didn't end all those other times). However, if we do happen to see an outbreak in zombies I immediately assign the blame to our president's health care bill (it's the only logical explanation). So, just to be safe, here are some zombie survival tips (most of which I learned from comic books and from watching Buffy kill vampires).

Grab you shot guns and machetes people, it's time to take on the undead.

Well there are a lot of fairly essential things that must be done to survive a zombie apocalypse (most of which were covered by the CDC here: http://emergency.cdc.gov/socialmedia/zombies_blog.asp). I would just like to add a couple of things that I find important.

1. Center yourself around people who don't use their brains very often because they will give off a strong "brainless" vibe that may shield you from the zombie senses.
2. Make sure to get a pair of Heelys (check that off my list good sir) because while having shoes is very important to your survival it is also important that you can outrun (or out roll) the undead swarms.
3. If you ever find yourself surrounded, don't try to be a hero, just try to be as brain dead and slow as possible. Zombies are stupid, if you pretend to be one of them they won't think to eat you.
4. While owning a guard dog would be good, owning a zombie guard dog is even better, just be sure that you properly train your undead pet to enjoy the taste of animal brains more than your own.
5. Don't move into some big city and scrounge for food in empty buildings like all the idiots in all the movies do. If you are drawn to the city, where do you think the brain dead zombies are drawn? Go out into the country, plant a garden, hunt your own food. The mountian air is too thin for the undead and that is where all the wildlife will flee to is well.
6. Finally, and most importantly, always make sure you have some kind of weapon with you because, for some reason, dead people (even though they walk slower than a snail can crawl) are stronger than you.

I hope you guys fare well in your impending doom. I'm fairly certain it will not be soon but it never hurts to be prepared. That is the boy scout motto isn't it? Or maybe I'm just thinking of that song in the Lion King.

Dear John, I mean YouTube

I'm sorry YouTube, I really do love you and I couldn't live without you, but you have to stop distracting me right now. I think we need to take some time apart, maybe an hour or so, because I haven't written in a month and that is not good. I'm really sorry, I know this upsets you YouTube but this isn't goodbye. I just need to take some time away so that I can get my thoughts straight because otherwise I am never going to finish another book. I love you dear YouTube, don't you forget it. I will be back in a bit but for now, please just give me some space. Don't go sending me messages on my iPhone or tempting me with CTFxC app updates. I'm going to go now, I promise I'll be back. This will be good for you too. Take some time for yourself, tidy up your home page, clean out my subscription box for me, do something for yourself. You're amazing, see you in a while.

Sonic--He's the Fastest Thing Alive

Some years ago, I picked up the complete series of Sonic the Hedgehog because it was cheap and I was feeling nostalgic. A couple weeks ago, I decided I should actually watch the entire thing. I just finished the last episode. Way to go Sonic and crew for defeating Dr. Robotnik.

It wasn't as cool as I seem to remember it being. I guess some things just seem cooler when you're young, and some things still seem cool even if it's just the influence of nostalgia. Have you ever noticed that? Some people really love certain things because they grew up with it, but when they show it to someone else, they don't get what the big deal is. I'm thinking of movies specifically but it can apply to other things.

I will say this though, I feel like the quality improved over time. I guess mostly I liked having the back story that was provided from the episode where Sonic and Sally go back in time! Too bad it took three discs to get there... Watching the series really makes me want to play the old Sega Genesis games... I never did beat those... Because I kind of suck at them... Not going to lie.

You know what's going through my head right now? The music that plays everytime you fight Robotnik in the video games. Anyone else know what that sounds like? Anyone else concerned that I can remember what that sounds like?

Oh my goodness. You got to love youtube. Turns out I was thinking of Robotnik's theme from Sonic and Knuckles. Here, listen.

Now go listen to the one for Sonic and Sonic 2! Go! I must have played Sonic and Knuckles the most and that's why it stuck in my brain. Or I'm just weird. Or both. Who knows?

Angry Birds in their natural habitat

So for Mother's day, we decided to drive up to Rocky Mountain National Park and enjoy some time together in the mountains. Usually we do this for my mom's birthday every year, but seeing as that was still going to be several months away and we wanted to go now...we packed a lunch and headed out. The drive we took was one similar to the enjoyable trip to Bear Lake with Danielle but instead of going up the mountain (where there was still snow) we stayed down in the valley. While driving down a long dirt road, trying to find a secluded picnic table to eat at, all hope seemed lost. Most picnic tables were taken and those ones that were empty were right smack dab next to a taken one.

In the hopes of finding one that others missed, we drove to the end of the road (where the trail head began) and had to turn around, we were out of luck and it looked like we were going to have to eat next to someone else. So, we headed back in the other direction. Somehow someone spotted a picnic table hidden in a fenced off area (some parts of the park have high fenced areas that keep the deer away from certain tree populations that are declining because the deer really like rubbing their antlers on them). Of course with the gate and everything surrounding it...the area looked like it would be an off limits place...or like the entrance to Jurassic Park.

The eating area was like the tiny space between the outside world, and the dinosaurs (a.k.a. death). Within that space I was surprised to find a variety of birds which I took the time to photograph. Not only was there a cute little duck couple, but I was pleased to find some of the angry birds in their natural habitat (a safe and pig free environment).

These pictures are amazing shots (if I do say so myself) and they were definitely hard to get. I found that the angry birds were rather flighty and grumpy little feathered tennis balls. I had to go to great lengths to get a good shot which meant sacrificing my good pants to the mud gods, but it was worth it.

All and all, the limbo of Jurassic park was a good place to chow down and take pictures of the native fowl. We left some bacon behind on a rock for the angry birds, we figured they would enjoy a good snack. It was then that we moved from our space in limbo into the actual park where the dinosaurs were sure to roam free. We followed the river into uncharted lands and I again took the time to capture some beautiful images.

During our travels we came across a female elk that had wandered away from it's family. I was worried about her getting eaten by a Tyrannosaurus Rex but she soon dashed off into the trees where she would be safe. We really only ran into one dinosaur during our hike and luckily he was friends with the angry birds who had grown fond of us because of the bacon we left behind.

So we left some more bacon and a hunk of green ham (we ate all the eggs) to make the angry birds happy and to show our gratitude to the dinosaur (I think it was called a Yoshisaurus or something)  for not eating us, then we headed back home. It was a pretty great adventure and a pretty awesome Mother's day.

So...how was your last trip to the mountains?

P.S. I also took lots of video during this hike which will be included in my next video for Danielle so keep your eyes peeled for that...well not literally peeled because that's painful and it would make you go blind which would mean you couldn't watch the video anyway...keep them figuratively peeled.

Well, yesterday was the end

BEDA is officially over...now what will we do with our lives? I guess find other random stuff to post about ha ha. Well for now, here's a picture that is a frame from an animated version of ALL CAPS' music video, Summer of '09, that I have been working on for a while.

A picture that amazes you

I don't know about you guys, but there is something about space and galaxies that just leaves me in awe. Everything from the simple twinkling stars we can see with the naked eye to the most distant and vibrant galaxies that we spy with the aide of telescopes and far reaching droids. I have seen so many breath taking images of the galaxies that surround us and this is just one of them.

This is the firefox galaxy. If it looks somewhat familiar...this would be why.

Armadillo

Besides the fact that they apparently smell and they aren't really meant for domestic life, I have this strange desire to have one...or at least to touch one. I love seeing them run around in the zoo. Oh armadillo! How I love the!

Crazy Random Happenstance of Pictures!

For once, I'm not going to copy Breanna! Ha ha! Although her's were all good :) Basically, I'm too lazy and distracted to write about inspirational things... So instead, You get a whole bunch of pictures that have made it onto my computer via the net for some reason or other. All of them make me smile/happy. I suppose that's the one thing they have in common.
