Day 7... No one will notice it's late, right?

So when Breanna finally remembered to post last night, I was already sitting in bed, squeezing in some reading before I drifted into lovely dreams (they were about Disneyland, by the way). That is why you are just now getting my seventh day picture.

Ready for my most prized item?

That's my baby camerakins. He's been with me for four years now. That's not his actual picture... It's his twin. But you get the idea.

I thought of a few things when I thought about my prized item, but I finally settled on my camera because of all the moments it's captured and saved for me. I love pictures. It visual journaling, and although I've been slacking on the journal thing, I want to be better at it because I believe there's great value to it.

I'm one of those family history people. I'm not as intense as some, but I've collected what I can from family members and others through the wonderful use of online resources, including a bunch of pictures. I love those rare moments when I finally get a picture and can see what my ancestors looked like. I particularly love it when I have those pieces when it comes to someone close to me (direct line or parents or siblings of those I've known. Things like that.)

So I love my camera because it allows me to always have a physical image of those I've known through life and have had an influence on me. I love it because it allows me a sense of coming closer to those who've come before who have influenced me by influencing those that lead to me.

Hope that all makes sense :)

Thanks Fujifilm FinePix F31fd. You're a pal.
