A picture of someone who inspires you.

Well as a writer there are a lot of authors who inspire me, as an actress there are performers I look up to, as a filmmaker there are directors that I love to death, and as a YouTuber there are plenty of YouTube partners that I both love and envy. I think the person I really would like to focus on in this post, however, is this guy right here.


This is Hans Zimmer and he is one of the many amazing composers that I look up to. When I write I listen to one type of music, soundtracks. The beauty of a piece of musical score from a movie is amazing to me. The absence of words allows the notes and instruments to take your mind and wrap in images. Hans Zimmer has done amazing things with his talents. He is the brilliance behind the Pirates Franchise Score as well as Inception (which is the soundtrack I have been listening to lately). Though I have never been taught how to write music I am always trying to do it on my own. There is just something about music that speaks the truth (with or without lyrics). Some day I want to be able to write and record something even remotely as good and inspiring as the pieces these composers have created.
